Based on the wildly successful TV series, this pinball table fondly echoes the enigmatic mystery of its namesake. Released in 1993 by Bally, the machine is recognised by many in the industry as having a highly elaborate design.
The Twilight Zone has been painstakingly serviced by Games Room Company engineers, carefully restored to concourse condition. The action-packed playfield and the iconic backbox to the quality cabinet have all been expertly finished. The side rails have been polished, chrome effect flipper buttons have been installed, and we have rebraided the earth strap with a matching interior. Its already prestigious status, combined with its mint condition, makes this one of the most valuable machines in the UK; the extensive work and special attention afforded to our individual pinball machines by our professionals makes them even more valuable than they were in their original, factory-produced condition.
Just as it once conquered the world of evening entertainment, the Twilight Zone has now conquered the pinball industry – it is currently the highest-rated electronic pinball machine ever on the Internet Pinball Machine Database.
Some of the more unusual gameplay features include the Powerball, a white, ceramic ball which is lighter than the regular balls, imbuing the Powerball with more force and greater movement. Another addition almost unique to the Twilight Zone is the Powerfield; a smaller play-area which uses magnets to move the ball as opposed to flippers, mirroring the powerful and usually unseen forces acting on the characters in the television series. Sound effects from the TV series and eerily chirpy music further the intense atmosphere of the game. Remember, nothing is as it seems – in the Twilight Zone.
The Games Room Company is one of the oldest pinball dealers in the country. Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, played his first pinball game in 1960, and described it without irony as being “flipping excellent”. We’ve been selling pinball machines since 1962, so know a thing or two about our products! Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.
