Vintage drinks machines to cool you off after this summer

Well, we were going to write a post about how blooming hot it still is all over the UK, but the recent rain has rather put a dampener on all that! If you’re anything like us though, you’ll want to keep those summer vibes going, just in case the sun puts his hat on again. Plus, on the off-chance the weather does warm up again, these will be the perfect things to help you chill out. All are immeasurably rare, having been painstakingly restored by our talented engineers at the Games Room Company. See what you think!

The Vendo 81 Coke Machine

vendo 81

The Vendo 81 Coke machine is nothing short of a legend. It enjoys immense popularity from being the ultimate in American vintage, an iconic cultural touchstone. One of the giants of US industry is beautifully represented in the Vendo’s stunning red livery, making it a classic addition to any games room. Like all of our drinks machines here at the Games Room Company, it’s entirely mechanical; a piece of vintage history. Take it from us – there’s nothing quite like the authentic clunk of hearing the mechanism work as it dispenses you a wonderfully refreshing Coke.

Mind you, if Coke isn’t quite your tipple, it’s far from the only option. The Vendo can also hold bottles of beer, a variety of fizzy drinks, and even quarter bottles of champagne. It’s up to you!

The Pepsi Vendo 81

We pride ourselves on being specialists in the rare and whimsical here at the Games Room Company, so imagine our delight when we stumbled upon an authentic Pepsi Vendo 81 – an even rarer variant. No, we’ve not just slapped some blue paint on it! It’s a true original, with its authentic logo having been designed by the Vendo Company all the way back in the mid-20th century. We’ve only ever seen two ourselves; a true testament to its rarity!

The Westinghouse

If you’re looking for a cheeky treat for the adults when it comes to your games room, you can’t do much better than the Westinghouse vintage vending machine. The vibrant yellow colour immediately signifies Corona, the top selling imported beer in the US, and sipping a sneaky bottle in the summertime sun is an equally beloved pastime of British people everywhere. It’s great for impressing friends as you have a glass or two before a night out, or hosting a classy dinner party. Or perhaps…barbecue, anyone?

The Royal Crown Vintage Cola Machine

It’s not got quite the same global reputation as Coca-Cola, but the Royal Crown Cola company has an equally impressive provenance. It was originally founded in 1903, and is still going today, making it well over 110 years old. The yellow and white livery of their trademark vintage cola machine is a hallmark of their brand. Sourced from an exclusive collection, our engineers took a great relish in restoring this beauty from the inside and out, all the way down to its modern refrigeration unit. If you’re looking for all the provenance of a vintage Coke machine, but perhaps something a little more niche, the Royal Crown strikes the perfect balance.

And as you might expect, you can explore these wonders for yourself at our expansive Weybridge showroom. Why not pop down and see what we’ve got in store? Alternatively, give us a call on 01932 282 123, and we’ll see what we can recommend!
